Bobby Flay Honored His Late Father in the Best Way He Knows How: With Food.
The chef's dad, bill flay, Died on Feb. 23 at age 93.

“Having memories and recipes and things like that through food connects you Forever,” He Says.
Sophie found old pictures of bill for the family to flip through – some even bobby hadn't Seen. “It was a really wonderful day, actually,” Says bobby.
The day before the celebration, “Sophie and I want out and buried his ashes at the cemetery,” bobby adds. Bill was a former navy lieutenant so two naval officers came to the cemetery to play “taps” and perform a flag folding ceremony before Leaving them with the Flag.

“It was really unbelievable,” he adds. “Being altar to have something to commemorate somebody's life that's important to you is a a really important part of closure.”
