Pluto and Goofy will have new canine characters joining them at the Disney parks and cruises next month when Bluey and the rest of the Heeler family arrive.
On Dec. 19, Disney announced that characters from the beloved Bluey The series will be new additions to the Disney Cruise Line, as well as the theme parks at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World.
“It's a lovely day to go boat riding and we're incredibly excited that Bluey and Bingo will be sailing on Disney Cruises, bringing Bluey's magic to families on the high seas!” Ludo Studio, the Australian animation studio that produces the series with the BBC, said in a press release shared with PEOPLE.
Families will see their favorite cattle dog characters onboard Disney Cruise Line voyages originating from Australia and New Zealand beginning in January. Passengers will have access to “special meet-and-greets, an interactive and clue-filled game that ends in a dance party featuring Bluey's signature dance moves” and other activations.
More details on how cruisers can interact with their favorite furry friends will become available in the next few months.
“The Heeler family's debut at Disney Theme Parks and Cruises really is the icing on the cake for what has been an exceptional year for Bluey,” Nicki Sheard, CEO of BBC Studios, Brands and Licensing, said. “We are committed to creating the very best-in-class experiences for our fans and can't wait to open the doors to families next year.”

Disney Experiences chairman Josh D'Amaro added that “Bluey has become a household name for families around the world” and they're excited to “watch our youngest guests and their families make memories with Bluey in our parks and on our cruises.”
The news comes just days later Good Morning America declared that the Disney+ series would be coming to the big screen in 2027.
Series creator Joe Brumm said in a press release shared on Tuesday that he “always thought Bluey deserved a theatrical movie,” adding that the film would be an “experiential event for the whole family to enjoy together.”
Plot details remain under wraps, but the movie's voice cast will include Melanie Zanetti and David McCormack as Bluey's mom Chilli and dad Bandit, respectively. Bluey composer Joff Bush will also create new music for the film, which will be a Ludo Studio production from BBC Studios and the Walt Disney Company.
The animated show, which was the most-watched series globally for the platform, follows Bluey, “a lovable, inexhaustible, blue heeler dog, who lives with her Mum, Dad and her little sister, Bingo.”
“Bluey uses her limitless energy to play games that unfold in unpredictable and hilarious ways, bringing her family and the whole neighborhood into her world of fun,” reads an official synopsis.
