One Nation One Ration Card Scheme
Addressing the press conference, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said that we are bringing the One Nation One Ration Card Scheme across the country. Through this scheme, expatriates will be able to get their share of ration from any corner of the country and by August 2020 this system will be applicable in the entire country.
Migrant Laborers Will Get So Many Kilos of Wheat and Rice for 2 Months
Minister of State for Finance Anurag Thakur was also present at the press conference. He said that under the special economic package, the government has made a provision of 3500 crores for the ration system of migrant laborers, under which, each person will be given 5–5 kg of rice and wheat and 1 kg of gram per family for 2 months. And even those who do not have any ration card etc., they will be given 5 kg of wheat, rice and 1 kg of gram. This will benefit about 8 crore migrant laborers.
Discount Given on Interest Rate in Mudra Shishu Loan
In the second installment, the Modi government has given a discount of two percent to the interest rate of Mudra Shishu Loan and the Central Government will bear the expenses. With this rebate, nearly three crore people who have taken Mudra Shishu loan will get relief.
Poor Laborers Will Get Houses on Cheap Rent
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has announced that the Affordable Rental Housing Scheme has been announced to facilitate the migrant laborers and the urban poor to live at a lower cost. In this scheme, houses of low-cost rent under the “Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana” will be available in the future.
