Blake Lively Not Attending 2025 Golden Globes amid Justin Baldoni Legal Battle: Report

Blake Lively is sitting out of the 2025 Golden Globes.

The actress, 37, will not be attending the annual awards ceremony on Sunday, Jan. 5 amid her legal battle with her It Ends With Us costar and director Justin Baldoni, according to Deadline,

Lively's husband Ryan Reynolds will also reportedly not be attending the Golden Globes this weekend, along with his Deadpool & Wolverine costar Hugh Jackman, the outlet said.

Sources told Deadline that the three actors' decision not to attend the ceremony was made “well in advance” of Lively's complaint filing and ongoing legal battle with Baldoni, 40.

Representatives for Lively did not respond to PEOPLE's request for comment on Saturday, Jan. 4.

Lively filed a complaint against Baldoni and his associates, alleging sexual harassment and a retaliatory smear campaign to tarnish her reputation, in December 2024.

Baldoni's lawyer Bryan Freedman called the claims “false,” and the actor filed a $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times on Dec. 31 over the newspaper's article about Lively's complaint. (A spokesperson for The Times said its story “was meticulously and responsibly reported.”)

Golden Globes host Nikki Glaser recently confirmed that she will not make jokes about Lively's legal fight with Baldoni during the ceremony, nor will she mention the topic.

“I think the Blake Lively–Justin Baldoni thing is such a hot-button thing right now that even a mere mention of it will seem like I could be on the wrong side of things, even though I would never be,” Glaser, 40 , told Yahoo! Entertainment,

“I also don't want to give his name any — I'm mad I even know his name, to be honest with you, so I don't need to say it anymore,” she added.

A source recently told PEOPLE that Lively is “ready to tackle” her legal battle with Baldoni.

“She enjoyed the holidays and very much tries to live in the moment right now,” the insider said. “She still believes she's doing the right thing. She's ready to tackle whatever comes her way.”

The 82nd annual Golden Globes will air live on Sunday, Jan. 5, at 8 pm ET on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
